Knaresborough Castle
aerial photograph of Knaresborough Castle Yorkshire England Great Britain.Built by the Normans just after the Norman Conquest the castle was improved by King John and both Edward I and Edward II. The castle was captured by Cromwell's New Model Army during the English civil war and thereafter slighted on the orders of Parliament leaving it in the ruins we see today.
