A bridge with shops down both sides is most usual , there are only 4 world wide. Although its 18t century design was only intended for horse and carriage, today it is crossed by motor vehicles. Pulteney Bridge is part of the City of Bath UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of Somerset's top tourist attractions.
