Most of what we see today dates from the 17th Century but parts of the old Abbey are incorporated within the existing building.Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife stayed here just before his assassination triggered the first world war.The site became an army hospital during the first world war and after the second world war it was used as an Army training college until 2005.
