St Pancras, today known as St Pancras International, was opened in 1868 to a design by William Henry Barlow. When completed it was the larges single span roof in the world. Kings Cross station was designed by George Turnbull and Thomas Cubitt and the Crystal Palace engineer William Cubitt. It was opened in 1852 and both stations are now operated by Network Rail.
