aerial photograph of St. Botolph's Priory Colchester Essex, England UK. St. Botolph's Priory was an Augustinian Priory founded around 1100 AD and dissolved by Henry VIII in 1536. The nave surviived the dissolution as it became the parish church however it too was destroyed during the English Civil war.The adjacent St Botolph's Church was built in 1837.
