Grade II listed St Giles Church has its origins in the 12th century with most of what we see today, including the tower, nave and chancel, all dating to the 13th century. The roof and south porch are 15th century and the upper part of the tower dates to the 16th century. Today the church sits alone in the countryside with the surrounding village having been abandoned after plague killed many of the villagers.
