aerial photograph of Bungay Castle Suffolk England UK. Built by Roger Bigod shortly after the Norman conquest around the year 1100 the castle was held by his son, Hugh Bigod during the revolt of 1173-74 but fell to Royalist forces and was destroyed. The Castle was rebuilt but later fell into decay.
