Oldox camp Robin Hood Hill, Nottinghamshire
aerial photograph of Oldox camp Robin Hood Hill, Nottinghamshire England UK. Oldox camp is a iron age multivallate hillfort. The fort has been little researched, however there have been archeological finds dated to the Roman period and also a burial dated from the Saxon period. The photographs show clearly the entrance causeway on the north rampart and partially hidden by trees there is a more sophisticated funnel shaped entrance through the southeast rampart. Adjacent the hill fort is a burial barrow.
