aerial photograph of the Winter Gardens in Great Yarmouth.
aerial photograph of the Winter Gardens in Great Yarmouth. This fine old building is crying out for restoration. It was originally built in 1878 in Torquay and then moved to Great Yarmouth in 1904. The building is the last surviving seaside Victorian cast iron and glass winter garden in the England and was the third largest when it was built.. Hopefully it can be restored in the same way as the Gladstone Pavilion, Stanley Park, Liverpool.(see my Liverpool gallery ). The building is Grade II listed but faces an uncertain future and is currently closed.
