aerial photograph of the ruins of St James' Church, Bawsey Norfolk UK. The tower and nave are Norman and date from the 11th or 12th Century. The Chancel is 14th or 15th Century and the building has been disused since the 18th Century. Time Team did an excavation here which was broadcast live on TV in 1998. They indicated the site started as a monastic site.
