aerial photograph of Glasson Dock Lancashire UK Glasson Dock was built 1779 to 1787 and originally designed to contain 25 ships. The Lancaster Canal Glasson Branch was constructed 1823 to 1825 and a railway branch line added in 1883. The railway line closed in 164 and is now a cycle path.
