Saint Wilfrid's Church Standish town centre aerial photographs
aerial photo of Church of Saint Wilfrid, Standish Wigan Lancashire WN6. Grade I listed Saint Wilfrid's Church dates from the 16th century. The West Tower was added in 1867. The Grade II listed gatehouse was added in 1927 and designed by Austin and Paley. In the forground are the village stocks and market cross.The base of the cross is medieval while the rest was reconstructed in the 18th or 19th centuries.
