aerial photograph of Boconnoc House Lostwithiel Cornwall England UK. Boconnoc House was constructed 1721 - 1722 on the site of an earlier manor house, by Thomas Pitt, Governor of Madras. Originally it was an L shaped floor plan but one wing was demolished in 1971. In recent years the building has been extensively restored. In 1644 , when the previous building was still standing, King Charles I made his headquarters here during the siege of Fowey.
