Norton Priory Runcorn
aerial photograph of Norton Priory Runcorn Cheshire England UK.Founded as an Augustinian Priory in the 12th Century it became an Abbey in 1391 and was in use until dissolved by Henry VIII in 1536. Following the dissolution a Tudor house was built on the site. The house was rebuilt in the 18th Century and then largely demolished in 1928. The remains are now Grade I listed.
