aerial photograph of Stonebow House York. Originally constructed in the 1960s the then fashionable brutalist architecture resembled a decaying Führerbunker dug out of the ground and placed upside down on the surface to remind people what can happen when architecture goes terribly wrong. Fortunately the eyes of York residents have now be rescued and the building is seen here cocooned in builders wrapping while it pupates into something far more pleasing on the eye.
