Lotherton Hall
aerial photograph of Lotherton Hall a Grade II listed Edwardian country house near Aberford, West Yorkshire, England, UK. The first hall was recorded at Lotherton in 1086 however little is known about the early history of the site until it was bought by the Gascoigne family in 1825. At that time the building existed as an 18th century Villa which was later extended at the end of the 19th century and early 20th century. The Gascoignes presented the hall and grounds to the City of Leeds in 1968 and it is now preserved as a museum. Adjacent the hall is a late 12th century chapel.
