aerial photograph of Gravelly Hill Interchange aka Spaghetti Junction Birmingham, West Midlands England UK. Opened in 1972 the junction is the intersection of the M6 motorway and the Aston Expressway A38(M) but soon earned the nickname Spaghetti Junction. It took 4 years to build and occupies a historic transport intersection at the meeting point of the Tame Valley Canal, Grand Union Canal and Birmingham and Fazeley Canal which now run underneath the motorway.
