Abana shipwreck in Blackpool aerial photograph
aerial photograph of the Abana shipwreck in Blackpool. The Abana was a barque built in 1874 which was wrecked in astorm on the Blackpool shoreline on 22 December 1894. All of the crew including the ships dog were rescued by the Blackpool Lifeboat. The wreck can still be seen at low tide and the ship's bell is preserved at St. Andrew's Church Cleveleys.
