Hawkshead in the Lake District aerial photograph
aerial photograph of Hawkshead in the Lake District, Cumbria England UK. In the bottom right corner of the image is the Grade II listed Hawkshead Market Hall and Market Hall Cottage which was built in 1790 and enlarged 1887. In the centre is the Grade II listed Kings Arms, a Public House dating from the 17th century. Top left the yellow building is the Beatrix Potter Gallery run by the National Trust. The building is Grade II listed and dates from the 17th Century. To the left of that is the Grade II listed Red Lion Hotel which probably dates from the 17th century but was rebuilt in the 19th century.
