ICI works at Winnington and Wallerscote Cheshire
aerial photograph of the former ICI works at Winnington and Wallerscote in Northwhich Cheshire England UK. Originally opened in 1873 as Brunner, Mond & Co. Ltd the site produced Soda Ash. It was here that Polythene was invented in 1933 quite by accident. The site had various owners until it finally closed in 2014.
